Ruling on Hanging Plaques with Verses in Homes and Shops

Question:
What is the ruling on hanging plaques containing Qur'anic verses and Prophetic hadiths, which are placed on the walls of homes and shops?

Answer:
We know of no issue with them, provided the verses and hadiths are authentic.
As for mosques, nothing should be hung in them, as it distracts the worshippers, and nothing should be written on their walls. As for a study or a sitting room, we know of no issue with it.
