He shot at camels to drive them away from his farm and killed one

Fatwa number ( 13658 )
Q: What is the ruling on a man who has a farm, and camels that the fence did not keep out have encroached upon it? This man used to guard that farm every night from the camels, firing several shots from his rifle at them, so they would flee from the sound of the shots, and he would be at peace from them until morning. However, one night he fired at some of the camels, intending for them to flee, but one of those shots, or a shot, hit a she-camel in the belly, and she died immediately. He found out whose she was, went to her owner, informed him of what happened, and paid the owner the value of the she-camel. He asks: Does he bear any sin? Does he owe an expiation, or what is obligatory for him, or does he owe nothing?
A: The owner of the farm should enclose it with a wall that prevents animals, such as camels and others, from entering. As long as he has paid the value of the she-camel he killed by mistake to its owner, we hope that there is no blame on him. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
