Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Question:
The first message in this episode is from one of our brother listeners, who indicated his name with the letters (A. A. B). Our brother’s case is a case of divorce. He says: If a man divorces his wife with one divorce, then another man marries her after her waiting period has ended, then he divorces her, and her first husband marries her, then he divorces her with two divorces, is the first divorce counted, making it three divorces? Or are they only two divorces? May Allah reward you with good.

Answer:
In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful. Praise be to Allah, and may Allah send blessings and peace upon the Messenger of Allah, and upon his family and his Companions, and upon those who follow his guidance. As for what follows:
If a man divorces his wife with one divorce, or two divorces, then he marries her again after she has exited her waiting period, or after another husband; then she returns to him with only what remains. She returns to him with only what remains. If he divorced her with one divorce, two remain for her. If he divorced her with two divorces, one remains for her. Yes.

The presenter : May Allah bless you and reward you. So that marriage has no effect on the number of divorces.

The Shaykh : It has no effect.

The presenter : It has no effect.

The Shaykh : Yes.

The presenter : May Allah reward you with good, and may He do you good.
