The Meaning of the Hadith: All My Ummah Are Pardoned Except Those Who Commit Sins Openly

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The second question of Fatwa No. ( 20145 )
Q 2: The Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
All the sins of my followers will be forgiven except those of the Mujahirinكل أمتي معافى إلا المجاهرين
Sahih al-Bukhari 6069
Explain this hadith to me.

A 2: This hadith was narrated by al-Bukhari and Muslim in (their Sahihs). Its meaning is that every member of the Ummah of Muhammad who commits a sin while keeping it secret, out of fear and shame, may hope for pardon and forgiveness from Allah (Exalted and Majestic is He) on the Day of Resurrection. As for the one who publicizes the disobedience, talks about it among people, and treats the sins he has committed with contempt, he has exposed himself to the anger and punishment of Allah. We ask Allah for safety and well-being. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
