Ruling on one who says to his companion, “You are a Jew,” in jest

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The second question of Fatwa No. ( 4591 )
Q 2: What is the ruling on one who says to his companion: “You are a Jew or a Christian,” in jest?
A 2: It is not permissible to say that, neither in seriousness nor in jest. He must seek forgiveness from Allah and seek the forgiveness of his brother to whom he said this; because the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) warned against it and prohibited it. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
