Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The student : Today, in this gathering, when I mentioned that hadith earlier, and we actually spoke about this topic, one person said, "Why... the crime that the shaykhs commit in keeping the general public and the specific experts ignorant regarding the disagreement, one of the prominent figures in this country, one who is pointed out with the finger... and then a man who jokes a lot says to him: 'Oh so-and-so, do you want me to issue a fatwa that I should leave the prayer?'"

The Shaykh : Do you want me to issue a fatwa?
The student : That I should leave the prayer.

The Shaykh : I seek refuge in Allah.
The student : And of course, he said it as a joke, but he does not know the crime of joking in this matter.

The Shaykh : Yes.
The student : So the man fell silent, but he pressed him, saying, "No, you issue a fatwa for me, man, man." I mean, I am hearing this from the person who was present at the incident.

The Shaykh: Yes.
The student : He says: In the end, he told him, "Fine, leave the prayer," this shaykh.

The Shaykh : And he was joking?
The student : Yes?

The Shaykh : And he was joking?
The student : Joking, yes, he told him to leave the prayer, but the disaster is not even here; the disaster is still greater, that one of the people sitting there said to him, "Man, how can he leave the prayer?" The Shaykh : Strange.
The student : Of course, I spoke about this topic, and I told him that in fact, the joking in this is worse than seriousness.

The Shaykh: Allah is the Greatest!
The student : Yes, indeed... I showed him, but imagine that such topics and these legal rulings are taken as a subject of mockery and ridicule, and this is recorded and people pass it around from their public and private gatherings, and it becomes a story circulating on people's tongues for laughter and ridicule, and regarding so-and-so, by Allah, my brother, he is modern, and that he is a person who knows the rights of gatherings, and that he flatters people, and that he...
Another student: His blood is light.
Another student: A story happened to me...

The Shaykh : Is his blood light or his religion?
The student : ...

The Shaykh : Yes.
The student : Lighter than the religion of the Christians.

The Shaykh : Allah is the Helper.
The student : So the topic of honoring rulers and honoring people and their wealthy ones, and so on...
