Q 2: A man intended in his heart to fast seven consecutive days, but he was unable to complete them, so is anything required of him?
A 2: A vow is not established except by verbalizing it with the intention of doing so; based on the saying of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him):Bulugh al-Maram 8:133 It is agreed upon that it is authentic. So if a person intends a vow but does not verbalize it, nothing is required of him. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
