He made a general intention to fast a vow, is it obligatory for him to fast consecutively?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The third question of Fatwa No. ( 17797 )
Q3: A specific person vowed to fast a month for the sake of Allah the Exalted, but deep in his heart he did not specify: whether to fast it consecutively for a full month or to fast it intermittently - i.e., scattered? What is the legal ruling in this matter? Is it obligatory for him to fast the entire month consecutively, or is it permissible for him to break the consecutiveness?
A3 : If the one who made the vow made his vow of fasting general, it is permissible for him to fast it scattered or consecutively. However, if he explicitly stated consecutiveness, or intended it, or specified the month, then consecutiveness is obligatory for him, except if he specified the month of Rajab, in which case it is disliked for him to fast it, and he owes an oath expiation. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
