Intercourse breaks the continuity of fasting

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The first question of Fatwa No. ( 21307 )
Q1: A disagreement occurred between me and my wife, and as a result, I declared her unlawful to me, and the fatwa stated that this was zihar. I fasted for two consecutive full months, except that I had intercourse with my wife without a barrier, meaning outside the womb without penetration. This happened more than fifteen years ago, and I have children from her after that. She lives with me in the house. What is obligatory for me to do?
A1: What happened to you breaks the continuity of the fasting for zihar; due to the generality of the saying of Allah the Exalted:
a fast for two months consecutively before they touch one anotherفَصِيَامُ شَهْرَيْنِ مُتَتَابِعَيْنِ مِنْ قَبْلِ أَنْ يَتَمَاسَّا
[Al-Mujadila 58:4]
And what
happened to you was a type of prohibited contact, so you must repent to Allah, and fast for two consecutive months, sixty days, and do not repeat what you did with your wife until you complete the fasting of the two months. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
