A vow to call to Islam within the scope of her studies, followed by a feeling of inability to fulfill it

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Fatwa number ( 19076 )
Q: I am a student in the Faculty of Dentistry at the University of Khartoum , I had
made a vow the year before last that if Allah granted me success in the exams, I would call to Allah within my cohort , and I want to be released from this vow; because I feel that I am not academically prepared for this duty to perform it in the best possible way, despite my full knowledge of the obligation to call to Allah in such places, but I want to do so according to my ability and without it being a vow upon me, so I ask for your guidance, may you be rewarded, on how to make expiation for this vow, and may Allah reward you with good?

A: This is a vow of obedience, so it is obligatory for you to fulfill it according to your ability. It is not a condition of calling to Allah the Exalted to devote oneself exclusively to it and abandon other works; rather, the call is made through kind words, advice, teaching the ignorant, enjoining good and forbidding evil, and distributing beneficial books and pamphlets. May Allah guide you and assist you in all good. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
