Cursing her deceased husband: what is the position of his daughters toward him?

The eighth question from Fatwa number ( 18649 )
Q 8: My father has passed away, and my mother is married to another man. From time to time, she says in front of us—and we are three sisters—“May Allah not have mercy on him; he did this and that.” Out of respect for her, we do not say anything to her, and we are married. She has (9) sons and daughters from the other man. So what
is the ruling in this matter? Do we have to respond to her, or is it considered undutifulness to her? He (may Allah have mercy on him) was among the best of people in prayer and zakah, but he used to prevent her from going out except out of necessity.
A 8 : It is obligatory for you to advise your mother and warn her against cursing, especially the dead, for they have passed on to what they have brought forth, so they should not be mentioned except with good, and it is not permissible to mention their faults. Your mother should remember what passed between her and her deceased husband, for Allah says:[Al-Baqarah 2:237] , and the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Sunan an-Nasa'i 1936Sahih (Darussalam) narrated by al-Bukhari in (his Sahih). And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
