The first question of Fatwa No. ( 19042 )
Q1: Some people have doubts that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) may have died
from poisoning, or from the effect of the poison that the Jewish woman served him. Is this correct? Please inform me about his death (peace and blessings be upon him).
A1 : It is established with the scholars of the days of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), his conditions, and his conduct, that he ate from a poisoned sheep belonging to a Jewish woman from Khaybar . Then the arm spoke and informed the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) that it was poisoned, so he refrained from continuing to eat it. And when he was in the illness in which he died, he used to say, may Allah’s prayers and blessings be upon him:Sahih al-Bukhari 4428 Narrated by al-Bukhari in (his Sahih). So there is no basis for doubting the effect of that poison on his body (peace and blessings be upon him) after its establishment in the Sahih and others. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.

"O `Aisha! I still feel the pain caused by the food I ate at Khaibar, and at this time, I feel as if my aorta is being cut from that poison."
يا عائشة : ما أزال أجد ألم الطعام الذي أكلت بخيبر فهذا أوان وجدت انقطاع أبْهَري من ذلك السم
