Seeking the aid of the jinn in identifying the evil eye
Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Q 7: Seeking the aid of the jinn in identifying the evil eye or sorcery , as well as believing the jinn possessing the patient in its claim of sorcery and the evil eye, and acting upon its claim.
A 7 : It is not permissible to seek the aid of the jinn in identifying the type of affliction and the type of its treatment; because seeking the aid of the jinn is shirk (associating partners with Allah). Allah the Exalted said:[Al-Jinn 72:6] , and Allah the Exalted said [Al-An'am 6:128] And the meaning of “some of us enjoyed the company of others” is: that the humans exalted the jinn, submitted to them, and sought refuge in them, and the jinn
served them as they wished, and brought them what they requested. Among this is informing them of the type of illness and its causes, which the jinn know but the humans do not, and they may lie, for they do not have faith, and it is not permissible to believe them.

And there were men from mankind who sought refuge in men from the jinn, so they [only] increased them in burden.
And [mention, O Muhammad], the Day when He will gather them together [and say], "O company of jinn, you have [misled] many of mankind." And their allies among mankind will say, "Our Lord, some of us made use of others, and we have [now] reached our term, which you appointed for us." He will say, "The Fire is your residence, wherein you will abide eternally, except for what Allah wills. Indeed, your Lord is Wise and Knowing."
