Seeking the help of the jinn and turning to them to fulfill needs

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The first question of Fatwa No. ( 433 ):
Q1: What is the ruling on tanadhur, which is calling upon the jinn and Shayatin to do something disliked to a person, such as saying: "Take him, go with him, drive him away," whether with intent or without intent? And what is the ruling on one who calls with this phrase, as I have heard one of them say: "Whoever calls upon the jinn, his prayer and fasting will not be accepted, he will not be buried in the Muslim cemeteries, his funeral will not be followed, and he will not be prayed over when he dies."
A1: Seeking help from the jinn and turning to them to fulfill needs, whether to harm someone or benefit them, is shirk (associating partners with Allah) in worship; because it is a type of benefiting from the jinni by his answering his request and fulfilling his needs, similar to the jinni benefiting from the human’s exalting him, turning to him, and seeking his help in achieving his desire. Allah the Exalted said:
(128) And [mention, O Muhammad], the Day when He will gather them together [and say], "O company of jinn, you have [misled] many of mankind." And their allies among mankind will say, "Our Lord, some of us made use of others, and we have [now] reached our term, which you appointed for us." He will say, "The Fire is your residence, wherein you will abide eternally, except for what Allah wills. Indeed, your Lord is Wise and Knowing." (129) And thus will We make some of the wrongdoers allies of others for what they used to earn.
[Al-An'am 6:128-129]

And He the Exalted said:
And there were men from mankind who sought refuge in men from the jinn, so they [only] increased them in burden.
[Al-Jinn 72:6]
So, the human seeking help from the jinni to inflict harm on another, and seeking his help to protect him from the evil of one whose evil he fears, is all shirk. And whoever is in this state has no prayer and no fasting; because of His saying the Exalted:
that if you should associate [anything] with Allah, your work would surely become worthless, and you would surely be among the losers."
[Az-Zumar 39:65]
And one who is known for this will not be prayed over when he dies, his funeral will not be followed, and he will not be buried in the Muslim cemeteries. And success is from Allah. And may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
