Is it permissible to seek the assistance of Muslim jinn?
Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The questioner : It is well known that among the jinn there are righteous ones, as the Noble Qur'an confirms and emphasizes in the saying of Allah the Exalted: [Al-Jinn 72:11] Is it permissible to seek their assistance in matters that exceed human capacity and power, or does that affect the Muslim's creed and his tawhid (the oneness of Allah)?
The Shaykh : There is no doubt that the jinn, as the questioner mentioned and as he cited as evidence from the fact that among them are the righteous and those less so, as in the noble verse the questioner mentioned, and among them are also the Muslim and the disbeliever, as Allah the Exalted said:[Al-Jinn 72:14-15] It is well known that the righteous among them do not approve of open sinfulness nor assist in it, and likewise the Muslim does not approve of disbelief nor assist in it. For this reason, Allah the Exalted said: So their disbelievers enter the Fire, as this verse and the verse in Surat al-Jinn indicate: [Al-Jinn 72:15] And their believers enter Paradise, according to the stronger opinion among the views of the scholars, due to the saying of Allah the Exalted: [Ar-Rahman 55:46-47] He informed that for whoever fears the standing before his Lord are two gardens, and He addressed both the jinn and the humans with this in His saying: [Ar-Rahman 55:13].
The questioner : Yes.
The Shaykh : The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) named the believers among them our brothers when he prohibited cleaning oneself with bones and said: or meaning from the jinn. As for seeking their assistance, I refer the questioner to what Shaykh al-Islam Ibn Taymiyyah mentioned in the Fatawa, the collection of Ibn Qasim, page 307, volume 11, and what he mentioned (may Allah have mercy on him) in the book al-Nubuwwat, pages 260 to 267; therein is sufficiency.
The questioner : May Allah reward you with good.

(14) And among us are Muslims [in submission to Allah], and among us are the unjust. And whoever has become Muslim - those have sought out the right course. (15) But as for the unjust, they will be, for Hell, firewood.'
وأنا منا المسلمون ومنا القاسطون فمن أسلم فأولئك تحروا رشداً وأما القاسطون فكانوا لجهنم حطباًO assembly of jinn and humans, have there not come to you messengers from among you who recite to you My verses? So whoever fears [Allah] and reforms, no fear will there be for them, nor will they grieve. And those who lie about Our verses and are arrogant thereof, those are the companions of the Fire; they will abide therein forever
But as for the unjust, they will be, for Hell, firewood.'
وأما القاسطون فكانوا لجهنم حطباً(46) But for he who has feared the position of his Lord are two gardens - (47) So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny? -
