Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Fatwa No. ( 18392 )
Q: What should the one who treats with the Qur'an do if he is brought a person from the People of the Book who is suffering from demonic possession? And is the treatment of benefit, given that he does not believe in Islam?
A : It is permissible to treat a non-Muslim with the Qur'an; because that is an act of excellence in worship, and Allah says:
And do good; indeed, Allah loves the doers of good.
[Al-Baqarah 2:195]
, and the Exalted said:
Allah does not forbid you from those who do not fight you because of religion and do not expel you from your homes - from being righteous toward them and acting justly toward them. Indeed, Allah loves those who act justly.
[Al-Mumtahanah 60:8]
, and his healing through the ruqyah (healing by Qur'anic recitation) may be a cause for his Islam. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
