Exchanging greetings between Christians and Muslims on occasions

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The second and third questions of Fatwa No. ( 18476 )
Q 2: Is it permissible to exchange greetings between Christians and Muslims on all their occasions?
A 2: It is not permissible to congratulate a Christian or any other disbeliever on their festivals and religious occasions, because that constitutes affirming their falsehood and participating in their sin. Allah the Exalted says:
but do not cooperate in sin and aggressionوَلاَ تَعَاوَنُوا عَلَى الإِثْمِ وَالْعُدْوَانِ
[Al-Ma'idah 5:2]
, except if it is for a stronger benefit required by the pure Shari'ah.
