What is the ruling on a person in the state of ihram who places his ihram garment on his head while forgetful?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The questioner : From Riyadh, he says: While traveling during the day, and I was in the state of ihram, I placed the edge of my ihram garment on my head. When I became aware of it, I removed it from my head and did not do it again. Is there anything required of me?

The Shaykh : There is nothing required of you because you did it while forgetful. If a person does any of the prohibitions of ihram while forgetful, there is nothing required of him. However, it is obligatory for him, when he remembers, to abandon that prohibition. The evidence that there is nothing required of him is the saying of Allah the Exalted:
Our Lord, do not impose blame upon us if we have forgotten or erred. ربنا لا تؤاخذنا إن نسينا أو أخطأنا
[Al-Baqarah 2:286]
Then Allah the Exalted said:
He has done so قد فعلت
And His saying the Exalted:
And there is no blame upon you for that in which you have erred but [only for] what your hearts intended وليس عليكم جناح فيما أخطأتم به ولكن ما تعمدت قلوبكم
[Al-Ahzab 33:5]
. Yes.
