Q: Several questions have reached us regarding the ruling on separating the head from the body of the slaughtered animal immediately after slaughter , so we hope that Your Eminence will issue a fatwa on the ruling of this matter, may Allah make you a storehouse for Islam and the Muslims.
A: It is not permissible to separate the head of the slaughtered animal from its body immediately after slaughter; because of the harm this causes it. Rather, one should wait until its death is confirmed, out of kindness to it. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
