Giving some money to an employee in order to complete the transaction in his possession
Machine translationRead the Arabic original
From Fatwa No. ( 16789 )
Q3: Some employees, when you go to them to handle some needs related to their department, do not handle them unless you pay them something. If you do not pay, they delay you and make excuses, and the matter may be urgent and time is short. Is it permissible to give this person something due to necessity, with the intention of it being a gift?
A3: It is not permissible to give any money to an employee in order to complete the transaction in his possession; because this is forbidden bribery. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) cursed the briber, the one who accepts the bribe, and the intermediary. The briber is the one who gives the bribe, and the one who accepts the bribe is the one who takes it,
and the intermediary is the one between them. And if one refuses to complete the transactions in his possession, then his case should be referred to the official above him so that he can take action against him. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his companions.
