I made a vow and said that if I became a teacher, my entire salary would always be in the path of Allah

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Fatwa No. ( 21782 )
Q: I made a vow and said: If I became a teacher, my entire salary would always be in the path of Allah, and this is not a small matter for Him, the Exalted. I am not fully certain that the vow was made, but the strongest probability is that it was. The question is: How should I deal with my salary now, knowing that it amounts to (4200) riyals? Is it permissible for me to give it to myself on the basis that I am providing for myself so as not to ask people for help? I am married, have two children, and the necessities of life are many. I am not currently with my husband, as I left him for legitimate legal reasons, but the divorce has not yet been finalized. I have a maid.
A: It is sufficient for you to give charity with one-third of your salary; because the one who vowed to give all his money in charity, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said to him:
One-third is sufficient for youيجزئ عنك الثلث
narrated by Abu Dawud .
And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
