I vowed that if Allah granted me a child, I would slaughter a camel, and a daughter was born

Fatwa No. ( 2270 )
Q: I said: O Allah, I vowed that if Allah granted me a child, I would slaughter a camel. A daughter was born, and my first husband passed away. After that, I took a man and became pregnant by him, and I gave birth to a son. Is she entitled to fulfill the vow, given that the vow was made regarding her first husband, and her intention at the time of the vow was that it was for the deceased husband? I ask for your guidance. May Allah reward you with good.
A: If the situation is as described, that the vow was made with the intention that Allah would grant her a child from the first husband who passed away, and she did not bear a son from him but only a daughter, then it is not obligatory for her to fulfill her vow. This is because actions are judged by intentions, and her intention at the time of the vow was to condition the commitment to the vow on being granted a son from the first husband. She only bore a son from the second husband, not from the first.
And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
