I vowed to Allah that if He granted me a firstborn son, I would slaughter two sheep for the poor

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The first question of Fatwa number ( 10611 )
Q1: I vowed to Allah that if He granted me a firstborn son, I would slaughter two sheep for the poor. Allah has granted me this, and praise be to Allah. He is now seven years old, and I have not slaughtered anything because I could not afford their price, and there was no poor person to give it to. However, I am now determined to fulfill this vow as an act of devotion to Allah. I want to give it to the Afghan mujahideen, but I do not know how it would reach them. Is it possible for me to estimate the price and give them the cost of the sacrifices without slaughtering them? And is there anything required of me regarding the delay?
A1: It is obligatory for you to fulfill the vow by slaughtering for the poor if you are able to do so, based on the saying of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him):
Whoever vows that he will be obedient to Allah, should remain obedient to Himمن نذر أن يطيع الله فليطعه
Sahih al-Bukhari 6696
, and sending the value of the two sacrifices to the mujahideen is not sufficient. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
