Q 2: I vowed to build a mosque on a plot of land not exceeding 4x3 meters, and
there was no one in the neighborhood except my house alone. When the neighbors increased, I made an effort to build a larger mosque in the center for the worshippers, and it was built, praise be to Allah. As for the previous land of 4x3 meters, its location was harmful to the road, so I used its location as a road that many people benefit from. I know that the mosque that was built is not on my property, but I was the cause of finding the land and building it, and Allah knows that. Question: Do I owe anything regarding the vow which is 4x3 meters, and if I do owe something, what is it? Please inform us, may Allah reward you with good.
A 2: It is obligatory to fulfill the vow as long as what is vowed is obedience to Allah; for it is established from the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) that he said:Sahih al-Bukhari 6696 narrated by al-Bukhari, and you have fulfilled your vow. Since circumstances changed and a wider mosque became necessary for the neighborhood, and you made what you vowed harmful to the road and turned it into an expansion of the Muslims' road, there is no blame on you in that, if Allah wills. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
