Q1: My mother vowed to perform Hajj with me before I reached puberty ; because I was in a state of chronic illness, she said: If my son is cured of this illness, I vow to Allah to perform Hajj with him before he reaches puberty. I reached puberty and she did not perform Hajj with me. Please inform us, may Allah reward you a thousand times for us, what is obligatory for her to do?
A1: It is obligatory for her to fulfill her vow and perform Hajj with the aforementioned son, even if he has already reached puberty; because her vow is a vow of obedience, and the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:Sunan Ibn Majah 2126Sahih (Darussalam) . And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
