He wants to marry another woman, but his father refuses

Fatwa number ( 17146 )
Q: I am a young man who has been married for four years. I also feel that I have the ability to marry another woman, and praise be to Allah, and that I am in dire need of this marriage, as one wife does not satisfy my sexual desire. I wish to marry another educated girl who works as a teacher, has good character, and comes from a conservative, religious, and God-fearing family, praise be to Allah. I have faced several problems from my parents and my wife’s family; they rejected the idea of marrying this girl, even though my wife has no objection to this marriage. I tried many times to get their approval, but my attempts failed. I also proposed to this girl’s father, and he refused to give me his daughter in marriage, citing the fact that my father does not approve.
My question is: Do I have the right to apply to the court judge to marry this girl, given that she is willing and desires to marry me?

A : The original religious principle is for the son to obey his parents in matters other than disobedience to Allah, to be dutiful to them, and to avoid what leads to undutifulness toward them. Accordingly: if their prevention of you is for a legitimate religious purpose, it is obligatory for you to obey them. If their opposition does not achieve a legitimate religious purpose, you should strive with them in the best manner, in a way that maintains dutifulness and stability. If that is beneficial and their opposition causes you to miss a greater benefit, there is no blame on you, if Allah wills, in proceeding with it. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
