The Nullifiers of Islam
Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The second question of Fatwa No. ( 16487 )
Q 2: What are the nullifiers of Islam ?
A 2: The nullifiers of Islam are many, and the greatest of them is shirk (associating partners with Allah) with Allah (Mighty and Majestic), such as calling upon the dead, seeking aid from them, slaughtering animals, and making vows at their graves, as well as other types of worship performed at shrines to draw near to the dead in order to ask them for their needs.
Among the nullifiers of Islam are: sihr (sorcery), learning it and teaching it, claiming knowledge of the unseen, and considering it permissible to judge by other than what Allah has revealed. Among them is: deliberately abandoning the prayer. Among them is: mocking the religion, insulting Allah, and insulting His Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him), and mocking the Qur'an or the pure Sunnah. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
