Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Question:
The first message in this episode is from the Republic of Egypt, Qena Governorate, sent by the listener Ihab Salah al-Din. He asks: What are the nullifiers of Islam? And if someone falls into one of these nullifiers, how does he return to Islam? May Allah reward you with good.

Answer:
In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful. Praise be to Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon the Messenger of Allah, and upon his family and his Companions, and upon those who follow his guidance. As for what follows:
This is a great question that every believer must understand and take care of, because the nullifiers of Islam today are numerous and their danger is great. This question is of great benefit to every Muslim. The scholars have written books on the nullifiers of Islam, and they have mentioned a separate chapter in the books of jurisprudence on this issue. They called this chapter: The Chapter on the Ruling of the Apostate. They placed the issues of this chapter under the heading of the Ruling of the Apostate, who is the one who disbelieves after his Islam. Then they mentioned the nullifiers that lead to apostasy, which are called the nullifiers of Islam, the invalidators of Islam, or the causes of apostasy. They are numerous, and the scholars mentioned them in this chapter in the Hanbali, Shafi'i, Maliki, and Hanafi schools, and others. They also mentioned them in specific, independent works.
Therefore, the believing man and woman must be cautious of this and gain knowledge of it so that they do not fall into it. Among these is shirk (associating partners with Allah) shirk, which is the greatest of them, such as calling upon the people of the graves, like al-Badawi, al-Husayn, or others; seeking aid from them; making vows for them; slaughtering animals for them; asking the idols; or supplicating to the jinn, seeking aid from the jinn, or from the angels, or from the stars. All of this is shirk (associating partners with Allah) that nullifies the nullifiers of Islam and is among the causes of the invalidation of Islam.
Also included is: insulting Allah, or insulting the Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him), or mocking the religion of Allah, or mocking the Qur'an, or mocking the Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him). Allah the Exalted said:
(65) And if you ask them, they will surely say, "We were only conversing and playing." Say, "Is it Allah and His verses and His Messenger that you were mocking?" (66) Make no excuse; you have disbelieved after your belief. If We pardon one faction of you - We will punish another faction because they were criminals.
[Surah al-Tawbah: 65-66].
Among them is: abandoning the prayer, because the prayer is the pillar of Islam, and it is the greatest of the pillars after the two testimonies. If one denies its obligation, he disbelieves by consensus. If he says: It is not obligatory, he disbelieves by consensus. And if he abandons it out of negligence and laziness, he disbelieves according to the correct opinion of the scholars.
Likewise, if one denies the obligation of zakah and says: Zakah is not obligatory on people, or says: Fasting Ramadan is not obligatory on people, he disbelieves according to all scholars. Or if he says: Hajj with the ability to perform it is not obligatory on the accountable, he disbelieves by consensus, because Allah made Hajj obligatory with the ability to perform it. Or if he says: Zina is lawful, he has made lawful what Allah has forbidden, saying: Zina is lawful, he disbelieves according to all scholars. Apostasy... is one of the nullifiers of Islam.
Or if he says: Intoxicants are lawful, he disbelieves according to all scholars. Or if he says: Riba (usury or interest) is lawful, there is no riba, all riba is lawful, this is disbelief according to all scholars. Or if he says: Sodomy is lawful, approaching males, this is apostasy according to all scholars, may Allah protect us.
Or if he says: Judging by other than the Shari'ah is permissible, there is no harm in adopting man-made laws and leaving the Book and the Sunnah. Whoever permits this and makes it lawful disbelieves by consensus. These are many nullifiers, until some of them reached four hundred nullifiers. Yes, if a person reflects on them and investigates them, they are numerous.
So it is obligatory for the believer to be cautious, to gain knowledge of the religion of Allah, and to be discerning. He should also review this chapter, the Chapter on the Ruling of the Apostate. The student of knowledge should review this chapter and reflect on it so that he may benefit or benefit others. We ask Allah for health and safety for everyone. There is no power and no strength except with Allah, there is no power and no strength except with Allah. Yes.

The presenter : May Allah reward you with good, and may He do you good.
