What are the nullifiers of Islam?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The questioner : This questioner, the noble Ahmad, says in this question: What are the nullifiers of Islam?

The Shaykh : As for his question about the nullifiers of Islam, the nullifiers of Islam in their general meaning are everything that necessitates apostasy; that is, anything—whether a statement, an action, or a belief—by which a person becomes an apostate is a nullifier of Islam. In reality, they cannot be limited to a specific number; their instances cannot be counted as ten, twenty, or more. However, the criterion is that anything that necessitates apostasy is among the nullifiers of Islam. For example, disbelief through denial: denying what one must believe in, such as denying, may Allah protect us, the existence of Allah, or the angels, or the messengers, or the books, or the Last Day, or the divine decree, both its good and its evil. This is a nullifier of Islam. If one denies the obligation of prayer, or the obligation of zakah, or the obligation of fasting, or the obligation of Hajj, or denies the prohibition of zina, or the prohibition of intoxicants, or similar clear prohibitions upon which there is consensus, this is a nullifier of Islam.
Likewise, among the nullifiers of Islam is mockery. If one mocks Allah, or His verses, or His Messenger, this is a nullifier of Islam. Allah the Exalted said:
(65) And if you ask them, they will surely say, "We were only conversing and playing." Say, "Is it Allah and His verses and His Messenger that you were mocking?" (66) Make no excuse; you have disbelieved after your belief. If We pardon one faction of you - We will punish another faction because they were criminals.
[At-Tawbah 9:65-66]
.
Likewise, if one is arrogant about what arrogance regarding it constitutes apostasy, such as if one abandons prayer and no longer prays, neither at home nor in congregation, this is a nullifier of Islam.
Likewise, if one believes in his heart what is not befitting for Allah (Mighty and Majestic), believing in Allah what is not befitting for Him, he is an apostate. The conclusion is that the nullifiers of Islam are not limited to a specific number, but are mentioned by their definition: everything that necessitates apostasy, meaning anything that constitutes apostasy, is a nullifier of Islam, whether it is in belief, in statement, or in action. Yes.

The questioner : May Allah bless you.
