Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The first question of Fatwa number ( 16029 )
Q 1: Are these supplications in the following places correct? At the beginning of studying: “O Allah, I ask You for the understanding of the prophets, the memorization of the messengers, and the nearness of the angels, and that You make my tongue full of Your remembrance, my heart with Your fear, and my inner self with Your obedience, for You are sufficient for me and You are the best Disposer of affairs.” At the end of studying: “O Allah, I have entrusted to You what You have taught me, and I ask You to remind me of it when I need it, and my success is only from Allah, upon Him I rely, and to Him I turn.” When leaving the house and heading to the exam: “O Allah, I have relied upon You and entrusted my affair to You; there is no refuge and no escape from You except to You.” When entering the exam room: “My Lord, admit me with an admission of truth and take me out with an exit of truth, and make for me from You an authoritative helper.” At the beginning of answering: “My Lord, expand for me my chest and ease for me my affair, and untie the knot from my tongue so that they may understand my speech, in the name of Allah the Opener, O Allah, do not…”
easy except what You have made easy, O the Most Merciful of the merciful. When answering becomes difficult: There is no deity but You, glory be to You, I was among the wrongdoers, O the Living, O the Self-Subsisting, by Your mercy I seek relief. At the end of answering: Praise be to Allah who guided us to this, and we would not have been guided had Allah not guided us
A 1: There is no basis for specifying these supplications for these times. It is prescribed for the Muslim to seek help from Allah in everything that concerns him and to supplicate to Allah with the good supplications that Allah has made easy, appropriate to his need. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
