A married man with six children who do not resemble him: is this a cause for suspicion of his wife, or not? And what must he do?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The questioner : He says: I am a married man, and my wife has given birth to six children, but after this I doubt her good conduct due to the lack of resemblance between me and some of the children. Is this a cause for suspicion of her, or not? And what must I do?

The Shaykh : If your wife brings you a child whose resemblance to you is a cause for suspicion, you must not pay attention to it, because it is established in the two Sahihs that a man came to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and said: O Messenger of Allah, my wife has given birth to a black boy, and the man and his wife were not of this color. He was hinting and making clear what was in his heart of suspicion. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
Do you have camels? ألك إبل؟
He said: Yes. He said:
What are their colors? ما ألوانها
He said: Red. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
Are there any grey ones among them? هل فيها من أورق
Sunan Ibn Majah 2002Sahih (Darussalam)
He said: Yes. He said:
How can that be? أنى لها ذلك؟
He said: Perhaps it was taken from a vein.
And so is your son; perhaps it was taken from a vein. وهكذا ابنك لعله نزعه عرق
So you do not know; it may be from your ancestors or your wife's ancestors that there is one with this resemblance that you found strange among your children. So do not pay attention to this, and seek refuge in Allah from the accursed Shaytan. As long as your wife is upright, let there be no suspicion of her in your heart. Yes.

The questioner : Yes, his second question.
