Explanation of the Book of Inheritance, Fixed Punishments, and Blood Money-09b

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The reciter: Isma'il narrated to us, Malik narrated to me, from Ibn Shihab, from Sa'id ibn al-Musayyib, from Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him)
A bedouin came to Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) and said, "My wife has delivered a black child." The Prophet (ﷺ) said to him, "Have you camels?" He replied, "Yes." The Prophet (ﷺ) said, "What color are they?" He replied, "They are red." The Prophet (ﷺ) further asked, "Are any of them gray in color?" He replied, "Yes." The Prophet asked him, "Whence did that grayness come?" He said, "I thing it descended from the camel's ancestors." Then the Prophet (ﷺ) said (to him), "Therefore, this child of yours has most probably inherited the color from his ancestors."
Sahih al-Bukhari 6847

The Shaykh : Al-Ta'rid means not explicitly accusing someone of adultery, but rather using words that imply it without being explicit. This is al-Ta'rid. So this Bedouin said: "My wife has given birth to a black boy", and it seems that he and the woman are white, so where did the blackness come from? It is as if he is saying: A black man committed adultery with her. But the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) did not give him the ruling immediately; rather, he gave him an analogy to consider so that his mind would be convinced. And he was a Bedouin, and it is well known that Bedouins keep camels. He said:
Have you got camels?
Sahih al-Bukhari 1452
He said: Yes. He said:
What are their colors?
He said: Red. He said:
Are there any grey ones among them?
Sunan Ibn Majah 2002Sahih (Darussalam)
Al-Auraq is one whose color is between white and black, meaning grayish like the color of silver.
He said:
How did that come about?
meaning, where did the gray ones come from among the red ones? He said: "I think" meaning, I suppose, "it is a trait inherited from an ancestor". In another narration: "Perhaps it is a trait inherited from an ancestor". Then he said:
Therefore, this child of yours has most probably inherited the color from his ancestors.
Sahih al-Bukhari 6847
, and the Bedouin was convinced.
Meaning, perhaps this gray camel has distant ancestors whose color was gray, and it inherited that trait. So he said: Your son may also have ancestors, from his father or mother, who were black, and he inherited that trait. So the Bedouin was convinced.
