Shaking Hands with the One Who Is Praying
Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The second question of Fatwa No. ( 18793 )
Q 2: I meet my Muslim brother before prayer and shake his hand, and then
prayer begins and we pray, and then after we leave the mosque I greet him and shake his hand again. Is this second handshake outside the mosque an innovation?
A 2: There is no blame on you for what you did if you part ways after the prayer; because greeting is prescribed upon meeting and upon parting between Muslims. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
