Is it permissible to shake hands after the taslim of the prayer?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The questioner : Is it permissible to shake hands after the taslim of the prayer? I ask the honorable Shaykh for an answer.

The Shaykh : Shaking hands between a man and his brother is a recommended practice (sunnah) only upon meeting. As for after the taslim of the obligatory prayer, it is not a recommended practice, as it is not reported from the Companions (may Allah be pleased with them) that they used to shake hands with one another after the taslim of the obligatory prayer.
As for after the taslim of a voluntary prayer, it is a recommended practice if it is part of meeting, such as when a man comes and stands in the row to pray the greeting of the mosque. If he shakes hands with the person to his right and left after the taslim of the prayer, this falls under shaking hands upon meeting and is not considered a religious innovation (bid'ah). Yes.
