The Necessity of Taking a Bribe
Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The third question of Fatwa No. ( 18452 )
Q3: If there are accountants working in a company, and gifts were distributed
They receive gifts, as they work in the tax department, and in reality these gifts are bribes , but the auditors are forced to take them, so what should they do with them? Should they throw them away, or give them to a poor person? Since Allah is Good and accepts nothing but what is good.
A3: These gifts are ruled as bribes; it is forbidden to give them or take them. Whatever is taken from them must be returned to its owner, and he must be informed of its prohibition. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
