False Testimony
Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The fourth question of the fatwa number ( 4271 )
Q 4: Please inform us, may Allah reward you with good, about the ruling on a man who gave false testimony and, despite his ignorance of it, had people with him who assisted him in doing so until he committed it. He later regretted what he had done, repented, and did not repeat it a second time.
A 4: False testimony is among the major sins. Whoever repents and resolves not to return to false testimony again, his repentance is accepted if he is truthful in that and returns the rights to their owners that were lost to them by his testimony, or if they forgive him; for Allah the Exalted said:[Ash-Shuraa 42:25] . And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
