Q: I found this attached poem hanging up, so I read it and found that it contains matters of shirk (associating partners with Allah), such as its saying: "(You are the One without Whom no man would have been created...)" The strange thing is that it is attributed to Imam Abu Hanifah al-Nu'man . Is this correct? May Allah reward you with good. Is it permissible to distribute, read, and publish this poem? We ask your Eminence to answer.
In detail regarding this poem. May Allah bless you.

A : This poem is a lie attributed to Imam Abu Hanifah (may Allah have mercy on him), so it is not permissible to attribute it to him. This is from one aspect. From another aspect, it contains exaggeration and praise of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) that is prohibited. In fact, it contains seeking nearness to Allah through the Messenger and supplication to the Messenger that is not permissible to practice or believe in, because it is shirk (associating partners with Allah) or a means leading to it. It is obligatory for whoever finds this poem to destroy it, warn against it, and not publish it or promote it. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his companions.
