Q: How can there be social family ties in the Muslim home? Please advise us, may Allah reward you.
A: Allah commanded the preservation of that which strengthens the ties between family members and their groups. He commanded maintaining kinship ties and being kind to them, and He, the Exalted, said:
[An-Nisa 4:1] And He said: [An-Nisa 4:36] the verse. And He said: [Al-An'am 6:151] the verses. And He said: [Al-Isra 17:23] the verses, up to similar verses from the Qur'an. It is established from the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) that he said: Jami` at-Tirmidhi 1909Sahih (Darussalam) meaning: one who severs a kinship tie. It was narrated by al-Bukhari and Muslim . And he said: Al-Adab Al-Mufrad 56 It was narrated by al-Bukhari . And he said: Sahih al-Bukhari 2408 ... the hadith. It was narrated by al-Bukhari and Muslim . And so on, from the many narrations encouraging the maintenance of kinship ties, adhering to the etiquettes of Islam, the noble morals, and preserving good conduct. Through this, the ties between families and family members are strengthened, and the Muslims are united,
not through disintegration and departing from the etiquettes of Islam and noble morals. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.

Say, "Come, I will recite what your Lord has prohibited to you. [He commands] that you not associate anything with Him, and to parents, good treatment, and do not kill your children out of poverty; We will provide for you and them
And your Lord has decreed that you not worship except Him, and to parents, good treatment
The one who severs ties will not enter Paradise.
