His brother works in a place that distributes intoxicants; is it permissible to sit in his hospitality?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The twentieth question of the fatwa numbered ( 9174 )
Q 2: I have a brother who works in a hotel and is responsible for distributing intoxicants to the customers. I went on vacation to my country, and my brother invited me to his hospitality, but I refused his request and told him: "The source of your livelihood is from what is forbidden." I have heard that the prayer of one who eats food whose source is forbidden is not accepted for forty days. Is this correct? Please note that I have spoken to my brother about this matter many times, but to no avail. Please note that he has been working in this hotel for approximately 20 years, and he fears that if he leaves his job, he will lose his retirement pension and will not find any other work. Please note that he is upright, he prays, and he does not drink intoxicants. I am confused: if I continue to refuse to eat his food, it may lead to severing ties, and I fear the severing of family ties. But if I accept his request, I fear that my body will be nourished from what is forbidden. Please inform me of the solution to this problem?
Because I am very anxious about this matter.

A 2: Continue to advise your brother. If he responds and accepts, then praise be to Allah. If he persists, then boycott him for the sake of Allah. There is no sin on you in severing ties with him; rather, you will be rewarded for it. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
