The third question of Fatwa No. ( 10818 )
Q 3: I am a girl who will finish my medical studies in a few months, and I do not want to enter the field of work. However, there are those who say that my relatives and acquaintances around me are my responsibility from a medical standpoint. Since I have studied medicine, I must ensure that they do not go to a doctor . How valid is this statement? Knowing that I live in a country with many specialized Muslim female doctors. Does the fact that I studied medicine and they are my relatives make me responsible for them, or does the presence of the other female doctors in the country where I live relieve me of this responsibility?
A 3: If the situation is as you described, it is not obligatory for you individually to treat them, because there are others who can suffice you in the responsibility of treating them. Rather, doing so from you is a matter of kindness, excellence, and maintaining family ties. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
