The sixth question of Fatwa No. ( 264 )
Q 6: If a Muslim traveler finds a disbeliever in a bad state of hunger and thirst, is it permissible for him to save him? And does he have a reward for that?
A 6: Yes, it is permissible for him to save him, and indeed he should do so, and he has a reward from Allah the Exalted for his work; due to the generality of the saying of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him): agreed upon by al-Bukhari and Muslim. And because such a righteous deed may produce good effects; that disbeliever may be guided if he learns that the religion commands general excellence in worship. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
