The seventh question of the fatwa number ( 19773 )
Q7: Is it permissible to break the fast during the day in Ramadan when experiencing exhaustion, hunger, and thirst while performing civil defense duties, and what is the criterion for this?
Vol. 7: It is not permissible to break an obligatory fast without an excuse of illness or travel, except for one who fears death for himself or needs to break the fast to save a protected person from death, where saving that person depends on breaking the fast. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
