May a husband prevent his wife from going to her brothers' house?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Fatwa number ( 14223 )
Q: Is it permissible for a husband to prevent his wife from going to her brothers' house? on the grounds that they incite her to remove the niqab and the gloves she wears on her hands, on the grounds that her appearance is ugly; because they cannot see anything of her; because she covers her body from her head to her feet, and they say to her: You are still young and not an old woman?
A: It is obligatory for the husband to treat his wife well, in accordance with the saying of Allah the Exalted:
And live with them in kindnessوَعَاشِرُوهُنَّ بِالْمَعْرُوفِ
And among good treatment is permitting the wife to visit her relatives and taking her to them, and it does not become
misunderstanding - especially in worldly matters - an obstacle to that. However, if harm results from the wife's visit to her relatives, the husband may prevent the wife from visiting; because warding off harm takes precedence over seeking benefit. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
