He wishes to keep a picture of his father out of longing for him

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The second question of Fatwa No. ( 16916 )
Q2: I miss seeing my deceased father very much, and I feel a desire to talk to him, and I find no way out but to keep his photograph in front of me continuously , as I have placed it in a frame and hung it on the wall in my room. Is this forbidden? Knowing that the intention is not glorification or exaltation or worship.
A2: It is not permissible to keep a picture, whether of a living person or a deceased one, for the sake of memories; because the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) prohibited hanging pictures, and informed that their presence in houses prevents the angels from entering, except for worn-out pictures, and pictures necessary for identity cards and passports
and the like. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
