A man who claims he can identify the liar in a dispute by reciting over him

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Fatwa No. ( 19948 )
Q1: I heard an imam in our village say: that he is able to reveal the truth, for example: in a case where two men are disputing over money, the first says: that the right is with him and the other says: that the right is with him, this imam says: that he
is able to reveal the truth in this dispute by a specific method called (wisdom), and when I asked him how that is? he said: by reciting certain specific Qur'anic verses or Prophetic hadiths, so if that imam does that, then the liar of the two men will have his belly swell or go blind or his hand become paralyzed, among other things, but on the condition that both men agree to it, so when I told him to show me the method, he said: I cannot. I said to him: why? he said: this is a secret I learned from the shaykhs, and in order for you to learn it, certain conditions must be met in you, among which: that you do not practice it except when matters become difficult, and among which: the pledge that the method is not taught except to one in whom those specific conditions are met. This is a very brief summary, so is such a thing narrated from the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) and the Salaf of the nation? And if it is, is it documented in the books of hadith and jurisprudence that are relied upon? And I ask you to clarify the truth for us, for I suspect it to be shirk (associating partners with Allah), may Allah protect us from it.

A1 : What this man does is from sorcery, witchcraft, and Satanic deeds, so it is not permissible to go to him or believe him, and it is obligatory for the authority to prevent him and discipline him with what he deserves according to the Shari'ah.
