He had a disagreement with his daughter and swore not to marry her off before four years, then he changed his mind

Fatwa No. ( 3930 )
Q: A man previously proposed to my daughter, and I agreed to it, except
that she refused to marry him, and she is a virgin. I became angry about this and swore by Allah that I would not marry her off except after four years because of her refusal of this man. Finally, another man proposed to marry her, and both I and she agreed to marry her to him. Since my oath was what prevented the final approval of the marriage, and since my daughter is willing and eligible for marriage, I ask for your ruling: Is it permissible for me to marry her to this last man, or must I wait until the end of the period I swore to? I am prepared to pay the expiation if possible for the benefit of my daughter. May Allah preserve you.

A: If the situation is as described, it is permissible for you to marry your daughter off before the four years of your oath have completed, and you must pay the expiation for one oath, which is: feeding ten poor people, or clothing them, or freeing a believing slave. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
