Oaths not to eat at his brothers' houses until he dies

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The first question of Fatwa number ( 18045 )
Q1: My father swore by the Great Allah that he would die and be placed in his grave before he ate any food or drink at his brothers' houses. The text of the oath is: "By Allah, then by Allah, then by Allah, that I will die and that the markers of the grave will be erected over me before I eat or drink anything at their place, any food or drink."
A1: Your father should maintain ties with his brothers, visit them, eat and drink at their houses, and repent to Allah from this oath which entails severing family ties. He must pay the expiation for an oath, which is: feeding ten poor people, or clothing them, or freeing a believing slave. If he cannot find the means to do so, he must fast for three days. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
