He swore that a person would eat a slaughtered animal on the day he swore, but he ate it two months later

The third question of Fatwa No. ( 12410 )
Q3: I swore that a man would eat a slaughtered animal, and he ate it after two months , and my intention was for the same day I swore, knowing that I sought forgiveness at the place of the oath. What is your opinion?
A3: It is obligatory for you to pay the expiation for the oath; because you intended with your oath the day you swore, and the eating did not occur until after two months, so the expiation is obligatory upon you. It is freeing a believing slave, or feeding ten poor people, or clothing them. If you do not find the means, then fast for three days. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
