The slaughter of the blind
Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The first question of Fatwa No. ( 17363 )
Q 1: Is it not permissible for a blind person to slaughter ? That is, is it not permissible for him to slaughter a chicken, for example, or a sheep, and what is the evidence in the Shari'ah for this?
A 1 : If the blind person is skilled in lawful slaughter and there is no fear that he will deviate from its prescribed place,
then it is permissible for him to slaughter according to the correct of the opinions of the scholars; due to the generality of the evidence regarding the permissibility of the slaughter of a Muslim and the absence of a specific restriction. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
