In addition, some people say: that the Christians present today are disbelievers in their religion and in the Gospel in their hands, and that most of them have become atheists and left their religion, and among them are those who hold on to what is called
the Holy Bible, which is a book composed by the senior priests, taking from it from several Gospels, and therefore they are considered disbelievers in the Gospel that was in the time of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), even though it was a distorted Gospel. And some say: that the method of slaughter by the automatic slaughterhouse, even if it is according to Islam, requires that the specialized employee who presses the button (the start switch) be a Muslim or a People of the Book, and according to their previous statement, there are no People of the Book now, and he says: that if we consider the automatic slaughterhouse to be the one that slaughters without considering the employee who operates it, then the slaughtered animal is considered killed, like one upon which a knife fell and it died. I ask you to look into all parts of these inquiries and answer them in detail; because these topics cause many Muslims problems, and we have not eaten these meats for about a year.
A: First: the Jews and Christians were disbelievers in many of the fundamentals of faith that came in the Torah and the Gospel, so the Jews were disbelievers in the prophethood of some of the prophets, such as Isa and Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon them both), and they killed the prophets without right, and they distorted many of the rulings of the Torah, and a group of them used to say: that Uzayr is the son of Allah.. etc. And the Christians used to say: that Allah is the third of three, and that the Messiah is the son of Allah, and they disbelieved in the prophethood of Muhammad
(peace and blessings be upon him).. etc. And despite this, Allah called them: People of the Book, and He made their slaughtered animals and their chaste women lawful for Muslims, and their disbelief, shirk, and distortion of their books was not a barrier to applying the rulings of the People of the Book to them in the time of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), so it is not a barrier to applying them to them until the Day of Resurrection. Second: slaughter with tools that cut what has been prescribed to be cut from animals whose meat is eaten in the Sharia method is not different from slaughter with a knife, so if one intends slaughter by moving the machine by any means and mentions the name of Allah alone at that time, his slaughtered animal is eaten if he is a Muslim or a Jew or a Christian; because everything that drains the blood and upon which the name of Allah is mentioned is lawful to eat, except the tusk and the nail. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad and his family and his Companions.
